Saturday From a morning pick–up in your local area we travel by comfortable coach into central London for some enjoyable free time in the capital. You'll have several hours to shop or see the sights before we re–join the coach in the early evening and make our way to your 4 star hotel in time for dinner and your overnight stay.

Sunday A princely full English breakfast first, then we travel into central London for our timed morning admission to Buckingham Palace. It's huge – there are carpets as big as cricket fields, state rooms the size of bus depots, and lofty vaulted corridors dripping with Holbeins and Van Dykes. In Queen Victoria's time it was a family house, and a happy one too, full of songs and parties, but after Albert died Victoria shuttered herself and the Palace away in sorrow and perpetual mourning. At last, in 1901, Edward VII and his fashionable Marlborough Set brought joie de vivre back to Buckingham Palace, and he had the whole place done out in the latest Belle époque colours; gold, cream, and a riot of reds and pinks. These colours are still in favour today, and it remains the ultimate show home and an amazing place to visit. There will be plenty of time to look around the Palace and check out the souvenir shop before we set off for home in the mid–afternoon.

Here are some example hotels or similar ones that we use for this break, actual availability may change with the travel date you choose.

Some hotels have an additional supplement per person, as shown below. Supplements are stated for the break (not per night)

4* hotel within 20 miles of Central London,
We take good care with our coach route planning, and then allocate a good quality 4* hotel to each coach. Our route planning is completed about two weeks before departure, so up to that date it is not possible to say which of our selection of hotels you will be staying in. However, for your information, the hotels featured below have previously been allocated to this tour on a regular basis and will be used for future departures.
